I hope you’re well ☺️.
As you may have seen, I posted a story on my Instagram yesterday in pure excitement of being shortlisted as a finalist in the category of Remarkable Woman for the She Awards, (you saw it right? 👀). And then! I realised I haven’t formally introduced myself (apart from with the pouty selfie in my last post 😅), so I wanted to do this post to give you a bit more context in terms of myself and AccentsUK.
So, as you know from my last post I am Nikita and I run AccentsUK. I created AccentsUK and I run the day to day of it too 😁. I could have done this in third person but this is my business and this is me and I want to type my message out to you personally. Generally, I do mention ‘we’ a lot in my posts because it is a ‘we’ thing, as much as AccentsUK is my business- it takes a team, from teachers to people that have inspired me to the artisans themselves, (plus lets not forget the 10 different moods that come into play when I’m working which are strong personalities themselves (by this I mean Miss focused/Miss passionate/Miss determined 🤣).
A few years ago I went through an experience that was the worst but the best thing that could have happened to me for the reason that it motivated me to not be a victim and blame the world but instead go out and really become the person I want to be! I go into more detail and explanation about this in my own personal blog (www.nikitamblog.wordpress.com), but to explain it in a sentence- I was verbally abused and manipulated to the point where any existence of ‘Nikita’ was shattered, and anyone that knew me knew that I was a smiley, happy, funny person (ok, they may not openly add funny, but I will 🙋🏽♀️).
Anyway, going through that experience made me want to help others; I wanted to do something that contributed to people feeling good so I created AccentsUK through this passion.
AccentsUK is about confidence, elegance and style.
My main wish is for every woman to feel beautiful wearing my jewellery; the confidence that accessories can give to a person is unbelievable and I really want to be able to empower women in this way. This is also the reason I chose to add a blog to my business, as I am able to explain styling options in detail and help show how my pieces can be worn as inspiration too.
You goddess, you 💕
Every piece from my collection is named after Indian goddesses. I picked each and every one, for the way they sounded and their meanings; they completely go with what AccentsUK is about….And now I also want a bus load of daughters to give these names to 🤦🏽♀️😂🤷🏽♀️.
Thank you for reading!
As always- I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments at the bottom ☺️👇🏼.
